Day 9 of the Master Cleanse

The final countdown is one! Day 9 of the Master Cleanse is coming to an end. Only one more day to go! My brother was so sweet and brought me over some kiwi fruit and oranges for when we go off our Master Cleanse. Amazing how you appreciate the simple foods even so much more with a 10 day cleanse like this.

I also did one of Davidji's meditations this morning which I downloaded on my podcast app. The meditation was on releasing stress and focused on conscious breathing. I can't put into words how much better I felt this morning starting off my day this way and throughout the whole day. My attention was fully switched on and at work I got loads done too. Also no matter how busy I was throughout the day I felt like I dealt with things in a much more appropriate way. If you haven't checked out Davidji he does some great work and has spent a lot of time at the Deepak Chopra Centre.

I will be jumping into my running gear now and then I am off to enjoy a beautiful round of fresh air to get my body fully pumping!

Day 8 of the Master Cleanse

Day 8 of the Master Cleanse! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel or at least it is nearing. I have to say today was a tough day. Honestly I really felt like food today. It wasn't that I was hungry but seeing all these delicious goodies walking past me or passing my way. The universe has a funny way at times.

I am still very sore from this aerial class I tried on Monday night and haven't been able to go back to my Amanda Russell workouts. I have decided to do some rebounding later tonight to get my body moving though and it should hopefully loosen up my arms also in a more gentle way.

I also finished reading Lorna Jane's first book "Move Nourish Believe" late last night. In her book she writes about how she started her business Lorna Jane and all the challenges she conquered. Plus she goes through what gives her all the energy she has so that she can achieve her goals. All of this relates to her motto Move Nourish  Believe and covers exercise, healthy nutrition and a very important one: believing in yourself. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs a little inspiration or motivation. She encourages you to aim for the stars and create the life of your dreams. All the gorgeous quotes and inspirational sayings plus of course the wonderful pictures make this a very special book that could maybe even change the way you look at life. For anyone that is interested you can order Lorna's book at her website http://www.lornajane.com.au/lornas-book and I have also seen them on eBay. Definitely a wonderful addition to any library!

I am off to do some rebounding now. Talk to you tomorrow.

Day 7 on the Master Cleanse

Time for another update! I am now officially on Day 7 of the Master Cleanse. Today I am feeling a little sore from my first aerial silks class last night. First class and I was hanging upside down! Never would have thought that. Obviously highly intense on the arm muscles. I applied lots of essential oils mainly the Pan Away blend which really relaxed the muscles over night.

Today I had a tough situation at work when I walked into the kitchen and one of my colleagues had just heated up her spaghetti bolognaise in the microwave. That smell was just out of this world even though I wouldn't touch food from a microwave. But I kept going and am nearing the end of Day 7.

Looking forward to my watermelon on Saturday more and more each day! I am so excited what it will taste like to enjoy my watermelon beauty with my senses on my first day after the detox.

Day 6 Update of the Master Cleanse

Day 6 on my Master Cleanse! Wohoo one day closer to enjoying my watermelon. I can almost taste the sweet sensation on my lips and my taste buds.

I had trouble going to sleep last night at my usual time at about 10pm. I had too much energy so I kept turning and in the end I started reading a little but this morning I was a little tired when I got up at work.

Anyhow tonight I am off to start a Aerial Silks course, sort of like Cirque du Soleil acrobatics and the two fabrics that hang from the ceiling. Wish me luck because I don't have the best strength in my arms especially when it comes to pulling myself up. I am convinced I will be getting a good workout and might even get sore but I will let you know tomorrow how it was. Hopefully that will work some of that energy off so that I can sleep well tonight.

I still can't believe I haven't eating for 6 days, it really doesn't feel like it and I am so satisfied too. Though I am looking forward to fresh fruit on Saturday.

Day 5 Update of the Master Cleanse

I am officially half way in my Master Cleanse! 5 days in and I am still going strong! Feel a little high and just so full energy today! I can hardly stop getting things done. How cool is that?

I finished the final planning for my cookbook this afternoon which I am more than excited about. The recipes that I am putting together are not only delicious but of course healthy. A majority will be raw food recipes with some cooked plus some of my favourite mouth watering recipes will also have cooked options which might appear to you a bit more if you are currently in a colder season. So basically the plan from here is once I have finished my Master Cleanse there will be so much healthy foods and meals in my home so that my cookbook for you will be finished soon!

I have already put in a fresh food order with my local food co op that we will pick up in Friday ready for our first day off the cleanse on Saturday. You should have seen my excitement ordering watermelon, oranges, zucchini, bananas and lemons. Can you believe it after all this time I ordered more lemons? Obviously still not sick of them. I want to continue to have my lemon drink in the morning to seriously kick start my body.

I am still trying to decide once I have made some fresh juice on Saturday morning what I will be doing with the watermelon. Maybe a smoothie with some orange juice and wheat grass powder? Or just diced and drizzled with some orange or lemon juice? Not sure yet. We will see what happens on the day. But I can already taste the watermelon. That is one of the most amazing things coming off a cleanse, all foods just taste so so much better!

For the remainder of the day I will be doing some of Amanda Russell's workouts today. I am not quite sure whether I have mentioned her before but a few months in preparation for the NY marathon I signed up for her workout programs. I have gained so much strength and muscle definition, it has definitely been worth it. Plus one of the best things is that the workouts are short and intense so that I can fit them easily in between other things that I am doing throughout my day. This is Amanda's website in case you want to find out more http://fitstrongandsexy.com/ Next time I am in New York I would love to meet her because she is just one amazing lady that will change the health of so many people around the world!

Day 3 on the Master Cleanse

It's day number three on my cleanse! My energy levels were surprisingly high today and overall I feel really good. Though I have to admit today I did fantasize about some foods such as fresh fruit especially watermelon, hummus with veggie sticks, raw food dishes... All the healthy things seem to be going through my head. Well all but the homemade egg pie that my boss brought in for lunch, what a smell.

I am proud of myself I had nothing apart from my lemonade, water, some herbal tea and the mandatory laxatives. Today I was already planning a meal out the weekend after I finish the master cleanse and at this stage I am thinking along the lines of raw food. I bet everything will taste amazing after these 10 days!!!
