Upcoming Car Wash Fundraiser

This coming weekend on Saturday 23 June 2012 we have another fundraiser for the Heart Foundation; a car wash!

We will be at the Subiaco Farmers Market (at the Subiaco Primary School) and give your car a $10 make over!

First of all you will be able to get your car cleaned plus you can contribute to our great cause; the Heart Foundation! Your donation might help save your life down the track!

The Heart Foundation ensures that medical professionals are up to date with the newest research and knowledge in relation to Heart Health, educates the public and funds life saving research!

Our fundraising total is currently at $8,330 and we are aiming to get to $15,000 by October.

We hope to see you there on Saturday!

Heart Beats Charity Auction Update

Last night I was busy designing the official flyer for the auction and I am very satisfied and happy about the outcome.I am getting more and more excited about the event daily and am enormously looking forward to it! Please also feel free to download the below flyer and share it with all the awesome people in your life.

I have also been very lucky because when we posted on of our add on Gumtree looking for help with the Heart Beats Charity Auction Annette Raison, a highly talented singer, contacted us to volunteer her skills and gorgeous voice on the day of the auction on the 12th May 2012. She has been of tremendous help with all her input and she is simply full of ideas plus always happy to help.

I am sure she will contribute to making my charity auction an unforgettable event. My husband found the below video of her on YouTube and I love her voice!

Tonight we are going to the Good Guys store in Joondalup to pick up another donation. The best thing is I have no idea what it is so it is a bit of a "Kinder Surprise". Hopefully it will fit into the I30.

Lots of love!

Update on the Fundraising

This week my beautiful mum organised a morning tea at her work to help us raise funds for the Heart Foundation. Mum made her famous and irresistible rhubarb pie and I made my yummy blueberry muffins. That morning she helped us raise another $50.50 with the help of all my beautiful friends at Jorgensens.

To date we have now raised a total of $1,394.20!

Below is a picture of the morning tea

2012 ING New York Marathon & the Heart Foundation

My newest goal is to run the New York Marathon in 2012 to raise $15,000 for the Heart Foundation!

After completing the Perth City to Surf Marathon, I am now in love with running and was looking for a new goal when I found out about the fundraising for the Heart Foundation. Another one of my passions is health and nutrition which makes this the perfect combination and I am so looking forward to the year ahead!

To date we have raised $1,126!

I did a few morning teas; one at my mum's work and one at my work. Manuel and I also went to the flea markets after we cleaned out our house, which not only gave us a lot more space but raised us approximately $500 for the Heart Foundation. Also quite a lot of people have donated using my fundraising website Every Heart Beat Counts

Manuel has been getting a lot of free stuff on gumtree which we are planning to take to the flea markets again on this coming Sunday 23 October 2011 in Karrinyup to raise more funds for the Heart Foundation!

Please feel free to contact us if you have anything that you  no longer need that we could use to raise funds for the Heart Foundation!

I have also started with my training again and I will be following a different training schedule (by Stu Mittleman) and method this time around. I will be sharing more information on this in my coming posts. I have also put together a plan for my nutrition to make even more positive changes in my life!
